For my stop on the blog hop I wanted to challenge myself and you guys to use our time better. As the mother of 3 active boys I am constantly running and I am working on using my time more wisely. Unfortunately, here's the deal-I'm usually too tired by the time the day is over to scrap and if I have time during the day, it's short, but I need to be creative for my own sanity. So, lately I've been turning to using kits and sketches to speed up the process. I am quite fond of Pagemaps and Got Sketch?. (I used only Pagemaps sketches this time around though as Got Sketch? has a footnote about DT work and I didn't want to infringe.)
Here's the sketches and the pages I made last week in, are you ready for this, 1 hour and 30 minutes. After working I had 30 minutes before school pick up, so I cranked the first LO out then finished the other 2 after dinner while the big boys were at scouts and the little guy played in the scrap room. These are all using the November Trio kit.
This was an August sketch. Here's my take on it.
Can I just say I loved the Maya Road lace tape? So easy to just peel and stick!
You can find this next sketch among the November sketches. This was by far the fastest LO I made and surprisingly, it's my favorite.
This was a September sketch. I used one of the Maya Road tags for my journaling and slid it down inside the kraft bag.
My challenge for you is to find some sketches and some photos and start scrapping, see how fast you can make beautiful LOs. I usually find the pictures I like and then find sketches to go with them. Upload your LOs to the gallery or our facebook page and tell me how long it took you to complete your LO. (Your time is just actual LO making time, not the time you took finding photos and sketches.) One lucky participant will get a prize from the store!
The next stop is Christy, so head over there to see what she created.
If you get lost along the way, here's a list of all the stops on the hop, in order:
