We started back to school weeks ago and have finally started adjusting to the new routine. All 3 boys are now in school all day. I thought I would get bored, but thus far I have been so busy with house stuff that I'm still running all day.
Sam started 3rd grade and baseball. We're on a North Asheville team, so it's quite a haul to get there for practice, but it's a good team with good kids, coaches, and parents. It's been a good year so far.
Jake started 1st grade and is playing flag football for the first time. Per his usual self, he is fired up about it.
Alex started pre-K at Veritas, but is not required to wear a uniform. Sometimes he does, but most the time just regular clothes. He had to adjust to the all day schedule (read cranky, tired boy), but is doing well now.
The house is another whole story. It is turning out beautiful, but man has it been a lot to take on. We started December 19, 2011 and still have a few weeks left. It has been CRAZY. We were kicked out of our kitchen in June, they took our bathroom sinks out in July, our toilet in August. David has been using the guest bath in the basement and I have been using the boys bathroom. Needless to say this has been hard to endure during the summer months when the boys were home from school. We are very ready to have our house back again. I have spent all my free time since the boys went back running from store to store to pick out carpet, tile, light fixtures, fans, granite, sinks, pretty much everything. Here's a few pictures of the work so far and I apologize for their quality. Until we pass and get our certificate of occupancy, there's no power for lighting. Today we got fans and light fixtures installed and some painting done.

The kitchen-no granite yet but cabinets are in!
The new double pantrys!!! This is a true necessity for a family with 3 growing boys that grows and cans all our vegetables for the year. Right now our veggies are stored in 4 different places.
Still a lot to be done, but we are getting there. We are SO ready to be done!
