Hi, everyone, Susan here, and I'm happy to be back again sharing another project with you this weekend that I created using this months Trio Kit! Here is another look at the kit :)
For the focal point of the cover, I layered a pink tag from the kit onto one of the white tags. I trimmed the bottom of the white tag and also the top corners to match the angles on the pink tag. I layered one of the chipboard hearts on it and used pop dots to layer the "super cute" round tag. I added some aqua twine from my stash.
The pom poms included in the kit gave me a challenge. I loved them and wanted to use them so badly! They are so fun and colorful! I had tried to use them on a layout by cutting one in half. That, um, didn't work too well.....I ended up with a pile of fluff! So I really studied the pom poms, and found that they were tied in the middle. I was able to use a large eyed blunt needle and thread my bakers twine straight through the pom poms! (you could do this and make an adorable garland for your project, too!) This let me hang some pom poms along with some of the wooden veneer flowers from the rings I used to bind the booklet. I also added some extra twine fringe to help fill it out. The book is a hit, my daughter loves it!
Thanks for letting me share another project with you! I hope this inspires you to be creative and crafty! Have a great weekend, see you next Saturday!
